From what I have heard the supplier is a German Company with production factories (subsidiaries) in several different Countries. My SA just today confirmed that the Stuttgart - Zuffenhausen factory where the 911 and 718 are manufactured is remaining open. The Leipzig factory which shut-down late last week due to the shortage of wiring harnesses for the Panamera and Macan is planning to resume production late this week or early next week.
I do not know if Porsche is also examining the possibility of adding an additional supplier or whether the existing supplier is examining any expansion plans.
I should also mention that my SA did say that the situation is evolving every day and so is the communication from Porsche.Tom wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 1:46 pm

They went to the lowest cost provider that could deliver the quality and quantity they specified. I understand that they were extremely pleased with the operation in Ukraine. I’m really surprised that they don’t have a local source close to Germany, maybe Switzerland or Austria
