The little slots at the base of the wing... Mine are clear, I check the drains pretty often, but it starts raining and they just plug right up. I ram zip ties down them and leave them there... any other tips? hacks?

I hit mine with low pressure air once in a while to make sure they are clear. Sounds like you are parked near trees and it gets plugged during the rain?
Put the car in the garage when it's raining. Problem solved?

Zip ties are the standard fix. You could try weed whacker line for more flexibility. If they clog fast, check the bottom flap. A blast of compressed air from the top can clear it. Otherwise, you're already doing the right thing by checking them regularly.

I find it helps to also keep the area between the glass and rubber spoiler clean of debris. This can be done by spraying a hose stream at the rubber / glass interface while pushing the spoiler trailing edge downward. This opens up the "seal" to the glass and allows at least some of the muck to be flushed out.
