Looks very nice! I'll have to post some pictures of my MCS struts and rear coilovers that I'll eventually install on the 951.

I see you have the tender springs at the top in the front and at the bottom in the rear. On my S2 I had them in the reverse order: bottom in the front; top in the rear, but I've seen some recent pictures on race cars that run them at the top in the front. I'm wondering what the thoughts are regarding this.

On my rear MCS I'm not sure I really need any and currently don't have them.

Cheers on St Paddy's Day.

Hi Tom
The tender springs are how Intrax provided them and I'll bow down to their knowledge in fitting them that way. I believe the fronts are an "upside down" design so assume that is why they are fitted like they are

Have you tried them yet? Do you use them with or without the torsion bar? I did the off-the-shelf KW's with the factory torsion bar and love them for the combo of control and great ride quality, but the price is pretty crazy for all but the 'money is no object' crowd....

Not yet as motor is out of the car, getting rebuilt and we will focus on that first and do suspension and brakes once motor is back in and sorted. I guess it'll be a few more months before we get to that stage. Block is being sent to LN engineering in US at the moment to get little nikkies fitted, so engine is still got a bit of work and I'll be waiting a while before we get that in.

Is that the same LN Engineering that does the IMS bearings? Little nikkies? Nikasil?

Didn't realize your car was all apart. Welcome to the club. ;)

Yes that is them. They are NSC (Nickel Silicon Carbide) sleeves, so yes Nikasil. They refer to them as Nikkies or little nikkies.

So what pistons then? I didn't know they did that work. Good to know....

FWIW, I talked to Millennium Technologies about refinishing the cylinders in Nikasil. The quote was about $1450. This was for overbore and plating to size. They've done many engines.

They are also providing the correct pistons, rings, etc, for it. I think I will fit new Carrillo rods too
