Does installing a rear support truss increase the rigidity of the car? Is it worth installing and does it make a difference you can feel?

Rear support truss, worth it or not?

I made my own using a pan hard bar and connecting it to where the rear seat back locks in place. I used heim joints to do this. It has definitely helped in keeping my rear flat in the corners with the stock rear suspension. I was told this by friends following me through the local canyons, as well as by the how it feels. I made it and installed it before KLA came out with their version....

Curious outside question.... Would the purpose be better served by a link between the shock towers? The body tends to be a bit more rigid there vs. at the seat belt anchors up in the B pillar, and closer connected to the side load from the suspension.

That's what I was originally intending to do. However, I do not have a welder or the requisite skills to make an attachment to the shock towers, so I found the next best/easiest/lowest location...

My version fixes into place using the original seat back fixings. It definitely tightens up the rear end.Spencan wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 12:20 pm I made my own using a pan hard bar and connecting it to where the rear seat back locks in place.
