Lower Balance Shaft Cover

All -
I need to reseal my lower balance shaft cover - not the front housing but the long cover.
If I am remembering correctly from engine reassembly and from looking at it from below, I believe that if I take the 3 bolts off of the front housing cover (power steering pump bracket) and the one bolt on the back, I should be able to take the balance shaft cover off without actually removing the front housing and all the belts, etc. This would also hold the shaft itself in place while I put on a new bead of sealant and get the cover back in place. I can't think of anything else that holds that cover on since it is a flush fit with the block all the way around.
True or false? I know it is going to be an absolute pain anyway, but pulling all of that off of the front (again!!!) is one less set of steps.
