Hi all,
Just replaced the rod bearings and wanted to reinstall the oilpan when I noticed the plastic insert is broken on the side where two screws attach it to the oilpan (see attachement); the plastic 'arms' have cracked. That leaves the insert attached with 5 screws. Is this something that needs attention or can I just reinstall this like it was? Couldn't find new inserts (or second hand ones) anywhere online in Europe. Removed the broken pieces and their screws of course.
Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.
groet,
Eelco

Reinstall it with the remaining 5 screws it should hold fine. Just ensure no loose plastic pieces are left inside. If you’re worried, check for leaks after refilling oil. Used parts or junkyards might have replacements if needed later.

Thanks! Will have a look at both new and used parts. While I'm in there, might as well replace it.
@gb951: wasn't aware that this part nr is compatible with the 944 n/a. Is this an updated version for all 944's?
