I plan on visiting Munich in March.
Gonna fly into Frankfurt and arrive about 8am, then want to hop a train to Stuttgart right from the airport. Get off, grab a cab and go to the Porsche Museum. Spend a few hours, then head back to the train and continue onward to arrive in Munich that evening.

Does this sound doable, based on other peoples' experiences?

No personal experience, but this makes it look quite doable....

It would be a very long day though, considering you are flying east and arrive when your body is ready for bed.

If you go, you'd be a hero if you'd let me send you a Carpokes hat and then took some pictures with it in the museum! Free hats for you and any travel companions that might be with you. :) See post #11 here:

Sure, I'd be happy to take a picture with the hat!

We did European Deliver on a Mercedes in 2014 but flew directly into Stuttgart.

We arrived around 8am Stuttgart time and had flown business class with sleeper beds and still felt very tired.

Here's what you should bare in mind:

Your flight into Frankfurt may not arrive as scheduled

Travel time to Stuttgart is about 2.5 hours, not including getting to the station and departure times, the good news is the Porsche museum is not far from the Stuttgart station.

The Porsche museum is closed on Mondays

At best you will probably get to the museum early afternoon and should have ample time to view the exhibits.

Whatever, you will have an extremely long day and may consider staying overnight in Stuttgart - there are some great Bier Halls

Good Luck, stay safe, enjoy !!!!!
