That's helpful and is consistent with my hunch. A local Porsche salesmen recently claimed he'd be getting an 'allocation' for one and expected the price to be in the US$6 million range. He said it, of course, in connection with trying to up-sell a very good repeat customer on an existing model (which he needs like a hole in the head). If the C&D article is correct about this being a modified one-off like the 917, or even if they made a few dozen, I can't imagine these being sold by a rank and file salesman/dealers, nor to anyone without some special relationship.
