944 turbo s tire question.

I just picked up a set of 930 Fuchs for my 951 and was wondering what people are running for rear tires on a turbo s. I cannot find any matching sets anymore and virtually no 245/45r16s for that matter. I was planning on going stock turbo s sizes of 225/50 front and 245/45 rear.

Correct/stock tire sizes have been an issue for some time as I understand on the 16" wheels. I went to 18 as I believe many have done so. I run 225/40 18 front and 265/35 18 rear on my 89 951.

Thank you Rob, I love the look of the 930 fuchs and was hoping someone had a tire that I haven’t been able to find in stock sizes yet.
It really stinks that tire manufacturers have forgotten about an enthusiast segment that still love the old 16 inch wheels.

I can't imagine how a "930 Fuchs" wheel will fit a late offset 951. They will be both too wide and the wrong offset.

This is for my ‘86 951, I plan to run turbo s tire sizes. That’s why I was asking. I should have clarified that better.

@dds28, I looked again last night and that Pirelli showed up for the first time. Prior to that it was only competition tires and the p7.
With that said, I was hoping there would be other options besides the Pirellis, I have never had a set but they have never been a brand that I have had a desire to try. If anyone has had any experience with them, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Yokohama A-008P is pretty much the only option, other than Pirelli, and Puck Firelli. Prices are insane, but you can get 205/55R16, 225/50R16, or 245/45R16. Basically they were meant as a "classic car tire" and Yokohama finally started selling them outside of Japan in the last year I want to say.
Prices as of April 13th, 2025.
205/55R16: $230.16
225/50R16: $314.84
245/45R16: $323.13

No problem, if you end up buying those post about it. Curious how they are (probably very good)
