2002 911 type 996 Turbo-Battery Drain

After sitting for a week or so, battery will not give enough juice to crank/start. Am intending to get it load checked. Unit was new to car on 2-6-23. Am preparing to live with the condition by employing a battery tender, which is only a band aid
solution.

There's a vampire somewhere!

An example of tiny but unnecessary drains are the little 3rd party theft position monitoring devices that some dealers were installing once upon a time in new Porsches (and other makes depending on the dealer) during the PDI process. The idea was to up sell the customer on subscribing to the overpriced theft deterrent program that came with the device that had been heavily marketed to the dealers as an additional profit center. They'd put them in every new car before being sold even if the customer didn't subscribe to the service. The vast majority of the little boxes just sat unused in the vehicles, happily sipping juice. While the battery drain was admittedly minuscule, it still added to the overall electrical drain that is murder on the batteries of all new vehicles sold today.
