I don't remember disconnecting this as part of my T-belt job on my '88 S, but it's just hanging out her in the front right corner next to the power steering pump with no obvious place to connect it. Anyone know where this belongs?
Thanks!

Those are usually the kinds of connectors and boots that you see on oil pressure sensors, or temperature sensors (intake or coolant). I don't remember well off the top of my head what sensors are down there but maybe one of those things rings a bell.
ETA: From when I built the harness for my S2, those looks to be the connectors for the temperature gauge, there was nothing else in my harness that had those kinds of terminals in a single termination.
Good luck

What colors are on the wire not visible in the picture?

I think those are the dreaded power steering pressure sensor wires. If so, they should be carefully isolated / terminated. They were the cause of many short to ground fires back in the day. I think there was a TSB issued by Porsche.

Good call. Makes sense since this is a 944S.

Yup, I thought it would go to a sensor of some kind as it seemed like the connection was polarity agnositic, but don't know I would have ever figured out that's what it was given it's specific just to the S cars, but you guys nailed it. I guess I should have posted over in the 16V forum, but thought it would be something more universal.Explains the power steering pump I found in the box of parts/junk in the hatch. I have excised the demon and put heat shrink around the wire ends to prevent shorting. Appreciate the help. I took her drove her to work tonight, her first trip longer than around the block without too many hiccups. Has a bit of a flat spot off idle, and even after replacing the coolant temp sensor yesterday and the O2 sensor today needs some help idling while cold. The AFM and ICV I found in the junk/parts box may be related to those issues as well, guess we'll see...

@gb951 , Thanks for sharing. Having a link is SO much easier than trying to dig these up!

Thanks for posting the TSB! My car has had this dealer mod done to it. I only had the customer letter part of the tsb. The work on my car exactly matches the procedure given.

I have an '87 S. Perhaps oversimplistic, but if I have a fuse in position #35, 7.5 amp, is it safe to assume the campaign has been performed on my car?
I have just confirmed that no fuse is in location #35...
