Hey my name is Peter and I live in Perth, Ontario. That’s a small town of about 6000, located an hour west of Ottawa and 45 minutes south of Calabogie Motorsports Park. That’s a great track which is about 19 years old but looks brand new. You should try it if you haven’t.

I have a 1977 911S which I’ve owned for 19 years. I have driven it on all the old tracks in the northeast, from VIR to Road America and everything in between. My favourites are VIR and Watkins Glen. I instruct regularly at Calabogiie and wherever I go with PCA events. I have completely restored the body on my 911 and repainted the whole car. The interior is stripped for track work, with racing seats, a roll bar and six point harnesses. The engine has been rebuilt several times and runs great. I will never sell it.

I also own a 1978 Fiat 124 Sport Spider, which I bought new. I rebuilt its transmission and engine a couple of years ago and it drives better than new.

I am looking forward to sharing stories and reading your stories on this site. If anyone needs air cooled help, just let me know.

Welcome to Carpokes Peter!

I've driven those same U.S. tracks that you mentioned.

If you head back to the U.S., I compile a set of track day lists that cover the Southeast and most of the eastern half in general.

Also, check out the Classic Air-Cooled sub-forum as well as the Racing sub-forum.

We love pics here too, so post away!

My car on track at Calabogie a few year ago. I don't have other pictures stored on line anywhere. Is there a way to post directly from my computer?

Thanks for the Fiat photo.
I've had several Fiats over the years, two had that Lampredi designed engine.
There is a book by Guy Croft that is all about that twin-cam, history, mods, etc. should you want to mod your engine.
Welcome to CARPOKES!

Peter,

Beautiful old redhead showing off her curves in the curves and Calabogie has a solid reputation - I envy you being only 45 minutes from there! Always good to get another Instructor and Trackrat on the site and do post up more pics the next time you get to boogie at your home track.
