86 NA water pump update ID

Hi, Ive been lurking here for a min since I recently purchased an 86 NA car. Im looking to tackle all the maintence that it needs. Im gathering parts for the timing belt job and I also want to reseal everything I can while that is apart. If anyone has a list of all those parts that would be awesome. I also see there is some kind of water update prior to aug of 86. How do I tell if mine has been updated already?

944online makes great kits for projects like this. See, for example:

You probably have the new style pump by now. The new style has a shiny silver rail to keep the belt separated, as show in the 944online link and the picture below. If you car has that, it's updated.

Ahh. Thank you. I pulled the cover back a few weeks ago and took a few pics and I can see that bracket in there..
