Harness Clamp?

Long shot, but does anyone have the part number for the cushion clamp that holds the engine harness firewall snorkel to the rear intake manifold bolt. See the part in the ebay ad below. If no part number, does anyone have a good picture of the clamp as installed in the car? My can never had this since I bought it, but I need it now to hold the new Kroon snorkel in place. I think over the rears the snorkel forms itself in a downward facing angle, and then people lose the clamp since it's no longer really needed. With a brand new snorkel, however, I need the clamp to hold it down. I'll go to Home Depot in the meantime, but thought it would be nice to get the real McCoy eventually.

Tom --

I bought a few sizes in SS on Amazon. They are thinner than the factory pieces, but stay looking good for a lot longer and are certainly functional. The factory pieces I had were just a little too small 22 vs. 26mm for my assembled front of engine harness with some wire-size improvements. In my case, they sit low on the front bracket or partially hidden under the intake, so function won out in the decision.

The new parts available from Porsche are not the same as what came on my 928. I could have stripped the plastic off the new clamps and used them with the old metal, but would have pinched the wire and sleeve more than I had in mind.

Thanks dr bob. I ordered a big assortment kit from Amazon in SS, which of course will be here in the morning. I've since discovered the steam vent tube I added to the back of the head might make for a tight fit, but time will tell. If needed, I'll come up with a little bracket for the clamp. :)

McMaster-Carr has high quality stuff including the Adel Clamps you asked about.

D'oh! Thanks. Should have thought of that -- order from them all the time! The Amazon clamp is installed now, so I'll probably leave it unless/until I need to change it...
