Just wanted to share with my fellow 944 peeps .. This is just me being really happy with all my literal blood, sweat and tears working, over the years, on my 5 Speed 85.5 944 Base model and the super-ily awesome working state that's its currently in. It's not the fastest or most powerful car I have ever owned, but it simply puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it, it's just super fun to drive.

Here's a run down of all the things I've done:
Replaced Head Gasket and everything associated or even remotely near it (huge job)
Full Timing belt job, Balance Shaft belt, all the cogs/rollers, and all the other belts
All the Distributor Parts, wires, spark plugs
advanced the timing with key
rebuilt the shifter and linkages, and new leather boot and shift pattern diagram disc topper
most of the fuel system parts, lines, fuel injectors, filter ect.
hacked up a racing exhaust and added a resonator, flex pipe, wide t-band clamps (no welding) and added headers, and straight thru magnaflow muffler. Sounds super awesome, I always drive with windows down for full effect
replaced the brake master and slave and associated parts
removed non-working A/C, all lines and parts (lots of dead weight) put on linsey bracket, moved alt and put on short belt
removed rear window wiper, wiper motor and put on train bolt disc to block hole
new carpet mats front and hatch area
accessory belt adjustors kept snapping, falling off and or breaking for some reason, went to lowes got higher shear grade stronger longer bolts to pass completely through hole and lock on other side with locking nuts, locking split washers and blue thread locker. Zero issues now.
repaired the rear heating defroster glass lines, wires and built new connectors
all coolant hoses, thermostat
the oil filter thingy that's submerged in coolant on side of the engine block (super bad design), gaskets and hoses (seems pretty easy at first, but turns to not a fun one at all)
removed the seats and put back to fix something on the seat rails, works smooth now
max power chip install (definitely can feel a change and smoothed out power curve-more aggressive now)
throttle cable and throttle cam (more positive feel)
Power steering res and hoses
I even did some body work, color wet sanding and painting in a small area on left front fender wall, double wall German steel is no joke trying to hammer it and manipulate it (not my forte, but it came out pretty decent, it passes the upto a foot away test, you get closer then you can make out my handy work
I'm sure I forgot a bunch of stuff, but feels like I have touched, changed, replaced, repaired every system in the car, I learned a bunch from this forum and some have helped me get out of repair jams that I couldn't figure out .. so thanks and I just wanted to share my current 944 journey status

Really impressed with how you sorted the accessory belt issue. Might have to steal that idea, my mate's keeps giving him a grief but wasn't sure how to fix it properly.
