What are 944 NA parts cars worth now?

I found one in a yard. Late NA nothing special car, mostly straight, crispy interior from sitting in the AZ sun, but no visible rust. Guards red, phone dials, looked complete, like it ran when parked 15 years ago. From experience, its not worth trying to save a sun-blasted car as a driver, every bit of rubber and plastic needs to be replaced.
I don't want the project to haul it away and part it out, but who would?

I'm really curious to know what other people think about the value of parts cars, too.

Depends on the parts car I suppose. An '89 with 8-valve head is worth $1000-$1500 more than pre-'89 in the exact same condition, for example. A typical 944 parts car that's been sitting in a field for years? Maybe $500 to $1000, if that? These cars don't sell for enough to restore a parts car (yet anyway). And extracting the valuable parts takes time, as does shipping them out, so even a free parts car may yield little more than minimum wage when all is said and done... Now if you want your own parts car to steal parts from over time, they are nice to have. I had 3 junker rx7's back in the day, and was never wanting for parts to keep my daily going... Neighbors loved them too.

Its probably only worth it for someone who wants to rebody a car with a good engine/interior that's been in an accident or is rusted out.

The market for these seems to be all over the place lately. Saw one sell for 300 last month, another for 2k. Depends on who needs what parts I guess.
