I shipped my 992 RS to Germany so I could take it on some adventures. I am not a perfectionist about cars, don't care about road rash or the like. Just want to use them and hopefully bring them back in one piece. This writeup may be a bit boring but it does include taking the car to the Nürburgring and lots of travel locations:

Just finished browsing your travelogue via the linked "pistoheads" website Ronan, including the video with Misha and your son circling the 'Ring in the 992 3RS. Misha does indeed get around the track quite well!
Glad that you had a fun and safe trip. All looked very nice - thanks for sharing!

Glad you enjoyed it. This is my fourth ( and very likely final) RS. It is interesting to track the development over many years. They have never gone for straight line performance or massive power. My first RS was about 415 BHP and 17 years later the current car is only a tad over 500. It is common now for much more powerful cars than 500 BHP.
On the other hand the current car is on another planet when it comes to handling.

It is! So smooth and responsive. Misha's driver inputs were the same - very calm and decisive - but yes, I was most impressed at how balanced the 3RS was. Never unsettled, never upset. Never tortured or laboring, seemingly able to run that way for as long as one was willing to keep going. And the engine sounds - endless sweet music!RDMcG wrote: Sun Oct 06, 2024 3:56 am Glad you enjoyed it. This is my fourth ( and very likely final) RS.
