I just posted the STL file for my 3D-printed battery isolator in the 3D printer board here on Carpokes. It's an easy print, but if anyone wants one who can't print their own, just let me know and I'll make you one for free. Another Carpoke's perk.

I really like this, too! I need to buy myself a 3D printer…

Covers are good to have, and so many of them go missing over the years. My isolator thing is more for working on the car, so the loose cable doesn't come in contact with the post and spark....
That goes on the negative post, right Tom? Can they be made in black? I would like one just for what you said - to prevent the cable from connecting while I am working on the car. That's a great idea!
I don't have a 3D printer, but if I did, the first thing I would make is a tube that goes over the toilet paper holder rod to keep the bent up cardboard cylinder a nice uniform shape so the roll doesn't flop around on that rod. Inside diameter would be just a little bit more than the diameter of the rod, outside diameter would be just under the standard toilet paper tube size.
Let me know where and how much to send the $ for shipping.
Thanks!

Yes, negative terminal. I only had red that day, but agree it should be black. PM me your address and I'll send you a black one. Consider it a Carpokes welcome gift.notny41 wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 10:23 pm That goes on the negative post, right Tom? Can they be made in black? I printed you one in NylonX Carbon Fiber. It's crazy strong and is feather light.
I'll do one in 'regular' 3D printer plastic for you too so you can see the difference.
