Cleaning stone guards

Hi all,
I wanted to share this cleaning tip I just stumbled upon -
I've been trying to find an effective, low-effort way to clean my nasty, ancient stone guards, and everything I've tried until now has been pretty useless. This car is going to be painted soon and these will be replaced, but I like it to look as good as possible right now.
Anyway, these 2 products really seem to do the trick. The best (easiest) one is Tuff Stuff vinyl cleaner. I use this all the time on interior vinyl or vinyl-like pieces, but I've never thought to try it on these stone guards till today. Turns out it's pretty effortless; only minor scrubbing is involved. The other one is straight simple green; it takes only a bit more scrubbing, but cleans off the mold/dirt just as well in the end.
