Excellent piece today from Hagerty Media -

"The 944 Turbo Offers Porsche Soul..."

"The result was a car lauded for its balance, poise, and livability, securing accolade after accolade from magazines, even besting its big brother 911 in a head-to-head matchup in Car magazine in March of 1985."

Thanks Tim....great info and there is a 944 gathering (944Fest) coming up soon at Nelson Ledges, home of where some of the 'local' history of the 944 Turbo was made. The track has gone through some life changes but is till operational in Garrettsville, Ohio...

Thanks for that Rob - that's excellent!

The perspective from the subject of the article, racer Rob Piekarczyk when he was a kid watching his father Bob Piekarczyk who was also a racer, racing at The Ledges 24-hour with the likes of Fred Baker, Hurley Haywood, Janet Guthrie, Elliott Forbes-Robinson, John Heinricy, etc was pretty cool indeed! These Hagerty articles are the best - it's great to see them putting that kind of effort in preserving our car and racing culture.

I'll see you next Saturday, assuming you're attending the meeting.
