According to IPD, they are planning to offer an intake plenum for the NA GTS 4.0 in 2022. Their plenums for the Cayman 981 and 987ās increased both the crank HP by about 20 and the torque by 16-20 ft-pounds. The maximum gains were seen midrange in the power band. Although not huge gains it does place the power in GT4 territory.

Very nice. Given some of the engine failures we've seen, I'd be a bit worried about doing anything until the warranty expires.

Good point

I am friends with the owner here in Southern California. Greg confirmed he intended to proceed with this upgrade. I offered my 2021 Spyder as a donor car.

Ooo -- get him to sign up here and post all about it. No sponsorships needed and we have a pretty big and growing contingent of 718 owners.

When I spoke with someone at IPD as to whether the IPD plenum installation will invalidate the Porsche warranty, he responded that most plenum installations are done at Porsche dealerships. Iām not sure if that answers the warranty question. Maybe you can get more information from Greg?
Thanks

I will see him in the next week and investigate. I have a Cargraphics valve controller and over axle pipes coming from Germany.
Porsche Of Newport Beach warned me against doing any changes to my 718 Spyder - warranty risks or invalidation.

@Potterjwp, did you find out when the plenum will be available and potential warranty issues?
Thanks
Larry

I did find out more about that possibility. The investigation on the process to manufacture that product will probably be in late 2022.
As far as the warranty question, you need to check with your dealership where you bought your Porsche.

Are the 718 GTS and GT4 stock plenums any different? If not, is there any reason this plenum can't be installed on a GT4 for similar gains?
