Huge Thanks to J-Dub for some tech advice and telling me about Apex Performance!!

First, Apex Performance is not to be confused with Apex Wheels , though both are great companies. I have been frustrated chatting with various so called Porsche specialists on Brake Pads and J-Dub told me I needed to chat with Clark Hamerly, owner of Apex Performance. First, Clark has been supporting Porsche Petrolhead Trackrats for decades and he is a true Southern gentleman transplanted from Pennsylvania. Not only did you give me a super solid price on a set of Ferodo pads ( which we all know are exceptional but pricey ) but I thought his name sounded familiar and I realized it was because he is a huge Girodisc Dealer for Porsche owners. The company I worked for previously also sold a boatload of Girodisc rotors and I realized that was where I heard his name. If you are looking for the correct pads for your Porsche, especially if you like to do HPDE's , Time Trials, or Racing, I can guarantee a call to Clark is worth your time -- this is from an individual who has tested pads and was a Dealer for a couple others. Clark will give of his time, make sure you get the right stuff ( he carries more than Ferodo ) and like myself he is a strong believer in a solid US based rotor maker, Girodisc.

I honestly will save my phone calls to Martin at Girodisc and just call Clark, as he is uber focused on Porsche and all the updates ( and yes, he owes some Stuttgart Stallions too , ha ).

I've done business with Clark in the past. (I have gotten ̶F̶r̶e̶o̶d̶o̶ Ferodo pads from him among other items.) He's always been excellent to deal with. Several others from our area deal with him and have great things to say about doing business there.

Best to call him directly rather than order online. Clark will generally give a discount if you call him directly. Linda is good help too!

Gosh blueline , I hope you didn't get Frodo pads, I hear they cause one to just kind of hobbit around the track, ha. I agree that calling Clark is the best method as he is old school and for folks with new purchases or unique Porsches, he sells plenty of pads and is willing to actually help if online searches are not clear. Best pricing I found, especially for the correct product . Not naming names, but I reached out to J-Dub since I got two different answers from two vendors, and neither seemed very sure. Clark knew what I needed and though I was indirectly a Dealer for two different Brake Pad Companies over the years, I also know the market is constantly changing ( sometimes just the part numbers ) and many just stare at screens --- Clark and Linda are now on my go to list!

Ha, ha, why bother changing it as I honestly doubt it was a typo, I know my spellcheck , er , spellczech , constantly changing Ferodo pads to Frodo pads if I am not paying attention. I do try to catch since a Frodo pad sounds like a nice place for a hobbit to crash after a bit too much mead !! Geez, I think I may have read " Lord of the Rings " a bit too many times growing up!

Of course with Clark selling more Porsche Girodisc rotors than virtually anyone else , would that make him ................Lord of the Rings!?

Happy for the assist, he is a great resource. Building and enjoying the community really is a big part of enjoying your hobbies, I like to support vendors that support us.
