UPDATE: Got out of it. I believe it was the Car + Media to exit.
I entered the Developer Menu to check and see if I could see the firmware info. But now the PCM is stuck on this screen. I have tried the double tap by the clock, and the top right screen. I have tried the double click on the "return" button and I have tried holding in the combination I used to get into it and a few different things. On the 957 I could turn the PCM off using the volume knob, but that option seems to be gone now?
I also left the car parked and locked for 45 minutes, still stuck there. I pulled the fuse for the PCM and the screen turned off, but booted up into the menu when I put the fuse back again. Left the fuse out for 20 mins or so.
Any idea how to exit?
I could pull the battery, but... that's a whole big operation. I can't imagine the engineers didn't leave a way to exit the menu!

Not sure if this will work on your 958 but it should (might) and, in any event, cannot hurt. It's Porsche's version of Ctr-Alt-Delete for their PCMs.
From my notes:
Place two fingers (index and middle) close together at the top right of the actual image area of the PCM screen. Hold momentarily and the screen should go dark as it enters the “Engineering” menu. It takes approximately 20 seconds to initialize and boot up to a text menu where there will be four or so choices.
Don’t mess with any of the choices outside of the “Reboot to Normal Mode” which should be the last option at the bottom of the list. When you initialize the “Reboot to Normal Mode” command, the screen will offer to “Quit Engineering?” Selecting that will initialize the reboot process. I did not see any way to simply escape the engineering screen, so I think the reboot (or some other choice) is mandatory at that point. (Maybe turning off the key, exiting and locking the car and then re-entering would cancel the process but I didn’t try so I don’t know.)
After the reboot starts it will take approximately 60 seconds to see the “Porsche” splash screen which will be followed by the normal welcome screen.
