Just out of curiosity, if you had the choice to option these plastic trim pieces in a different material, what would it be?

Assuming that your poll is only about 718s, I'm good with the way they are (stock, hard plastic) but would also be fine with the smooth leather matching the rest of the leather in the interior. That would be quite nice.

It's kind of odd for me because I look at the 718 as more of a pure sports car that excels at keeping a few more things simple, whereas a nicely built Cayenne, Panamera, 911, etc., tend towards more luxury in my view, along with reams (literally) of options that lend themselves to those models.

Also, those pieces that you identified are out of my sight when I'm driving the car so the material matters far less to me. Therefore, I'm good with the status quo (hard plastic) of the items in your poll.

Understand that the above is only how I personally look at the questions (and Porsches in general) and what I personally prefer. As is the case with these types of subjective matters, there are no right or wrong answers in my opinion - it's all individual preference. And no, I am not trying to offer a polite, pablum answer; rather it is how I view these kinds of things.

Ha, appreciate your honest response, thanks! These things are HIGHLY subjective, I am just curious what others thought (my mind is already made up)... I like hearing people's rationale for things like this :D

Hi, folks....
I'm going to take advantage of every man's innate ability to change one's mind. Blueline and P-Coastal convinced me to re-think this important matter. "Out of sight...out of mind". I'm looking forward driving, right? Really don't care what's behind me (within reason). Keep it the standard plastic and save me a few bucks.

I suppose for some people it's less about if you can actually see your mod while driving and more about making your Porsche just like every other Porsche, in that it is unlike any other Porsche.
