Lots on changes with the SiriusXM platform recently. Despite the CEO's spin, nearly half a million people voted with their feet in the first quarter.

Sirius came installed in the Box two years ago. I may have listened to it one or twice at the most. Just not what I need. I stopped listening to stuff in the car a long time ago.

I've come to like it even though I'm not a big music-in-the-car guy. Great for college and NFL football, MLB Baseball, Howard, comedy, News, and an occasional Beach Boys song with the sunroof open.Stormy_Monday wrote: Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:04 am Sirius came installed in the Box two years ago. I like Sirius/XM but mostly for PC web based streaming at home which I feed into my main audio system so I have music wherever I want it.
Music - yes! I have a good number of what used to be called "Favorites" at Sirius but there are six or so channels that are the ones I mostly listen to.
Regarding the platform's changes, a couple were welcomed, others were just ok, and some not so good. However, for the most part I was pleased.

I've had SiriusXM in 3 different cars, starting with a 2010 VW Golf. Listened to it a bit during the free period, but found it lacking and didn't subscribe. It is also in the 2016 Audi that replaced the Golf as well as in the 718 Cayman. I've never turned it on in either of those cars at all. I don't listen to sports or talk, and I'd rather use my own playlist the few times I feel like music in the car—which is not often. For those occasions I play off an SD card that is always in the car.

I have it in my daily driver and concentrate on a limited selection (Jazz, Blues, 70', Beatles, classical)
On the 911 I deleted the radio and even the heavy speakers as music from the rear section is all I need..
