Left Front Cooling Fan

My 2017 Carrera's left front cooling fan stays
on regardless of temperature. I think the relay, fuse, and maybe the controller are located under the carpet below the rear window. I don't know how to lift this carpet and am reluctant to grab the nap and pull with pliers. Anybody know how to lift that carpet?
