Just noticed some condensation in my rear brake light. Is it normal for new cars in colder weather (will eventually go away) or should I get it replaced under warranty? Only one of them is showing this so I think it may be badly sealed or something. Any suggestions/opinions are welcomed!

That's not terrible, but if it keeps happening to that one lens and/or especially if you see water or heavy condensation inside after hosing it down -- I'd ask the dealer to fix it under warranty. Some might argue it's normal, but I know at least one person who had a tail light replaced under warranty because moisture was collecting -- albeit more than in your picture, but in the same ballpark....

Thank you for the advice Tom, I will keep an eye on it for sure.

I’ve had two issues with my 2021 718 Spyder. Both front PDL headlights look like they have tiny crowfeet on the inside. The driver side was replaced and now the same situation exist in the passenger side. It will be replaced as well under warranty. One of my rear tail lights had moisture as well. Porsche Of Newport Beach told me that was normal. I don’t believe it. I had the same situation in a Tesla S and Tesla replace the rear tail lights assembly so there was no moisture in them

The units are vented and not sealed so apparently not uncommon for some condensation

I have it on both rear light units on my 2018 718CS more often than not though have ‘never’ had it on any other car I have ever owned but It’s actually ‘normal’ according to Porsche.

The 718forum has this question asked every now and again only to get exactly the same responses and referred to previous posts.

It will come and go continuously so by all means check in with your dealer and see what they say

I had the same issue with my Tesla S.

Tesla told me it was normal.

I’ve never had this issue on any other cars except for my Porsche and Tesla.
