Yes the A/C stays, I've spent too much money on it now to abandon it. Understood. As I replaced the turbine housing last week I realised I had forgotten how much of a pain wrenching on our cars could get. I can't stand the lack of access anymore and how everything is so cramped... But in the end they are well worth the effort. Hang in there and it will pay off eventually, especially with your particularly disciplined approach.
'90 944T - modified somehow
Well the run of progress has come screeching to a halt, my crossover and headers are Swiss cheese even after the repairs and I'm not sure there is value in continued attempts which will most likely fail again. Pays to check everything twice, Im tossing up now if its worth going all out and getting something custom made
The waste gate setup on a twin scroll system makes my head hurt.
I'm going to have to persist with the Turbo for now, I know it's not a popular option around here but buying it as a package at the time was the best way forward and the downpipe is very well made.
It's a pity the TiaL mount came back on the market 6 months too late. Even that would require modification to run a GTX35 if I'm remembering correctly.

Could you not make something similar to the Lindsey oil filler relocation to clear manifold ?
I was fortunate to not to be running balance shafts so could vent from shaft cover as I to was tight on space for breather hose under manifold .
Look forward to updates .

EDIT: its not the filler that has the clearance issue, the problem is with the port on the top of the AOS.
There is 2 large leaks and 4-5 small ones but the cumulative effect was I couldn't get the system to hold more than 10psi, though I was using quite a small compressor. Surely this is going to have a negative effect on spool on a turbo this size.

Since only small leaks remain, try repairing them with brass which only requires low heat. It's the relative extreme heat of gas or electric welding that often results in cracking and/or re-cracking.
