I have been following this, since I am waiting on mine. Apparently the 718's and Macan's are not affected by this, so good news for me. But you never know. Hard to get any solid answers about it. I know a 911 owner that got this message from Porsche the other day. I have yet to receive anything from Porsche.

It's apparently every car except for the 718 and Macan models. The boat carrying our Cayenne is finally going to get a spot to moor at Houston after being on the ship for over a month. (It left Emden Jan 5th but has made three other stops along the way and, most recently, has spent several days loitering 100 or so miles offshore. No place to dock and unload it seems.)
I haven't been told for sure and TYD is mum (no ETA) but I'm certain we won't be seeing the vehicle for several weeks - maybe longer than that.

My college friend from Brazil had a Portuguese saying. Loosely translated it was something like “if they don’t s*** at the entrance, they’ll s*** at the exit. We're fine with the wait - can't do anything about it anyway so might as well go on about life. I do wish that Porsche would explain exactly what the problem is. I'm curious and besides, they need to come clean and fess up to whatever it is. It's the honest and honorable thing to do.

On another thread I just posted this quote from Porsche that was part of an update I received from them a few days ago (the afternoon of Feb 28th):
"At issue is an electronic component which is a part of a larger control unit that needs to be replaced. In the past week you may have seen headlines in the press related to this topic. Some of the information is accurate and some is not. For example, vehicles were not “impounded,” “blocked,” or “detained” as reported by some media. Rather, we promptly took action to hold affected vehicles at port and notified authorities as soon as we learned of an issue affecting one of our suppliers."
Then this:
"Turning now to the status of your vehicle, the first cars held at ports will be delivered to Porsche Centers this week as the supply of replacement parts steadily grows."
I don't think it will be much longer - my guess is that all will have been delivered to dealers or at least on car haulers by the end of the month or 1st week in April.

The entire subcontractor thing has been an issue since the apocalypse and never really recovered.
