I also had to install two of these to convert the sine wave signal from the VR wheel speed sensors to a 0-5v square wave suitable for the Link DIs (On above 1.8V, off under 1V). I've only spun the wheels with the car up on Jack stands so far but they appear to be working.

You would need driven and non-driven wheels to use TC, but you don't need DBW. Typically IG retard, and/or a cut is all you want/need.

The Link G4X SW uses their version of Torque on Demand logic (Torque Management) which uses IG retard, IG cut, Boost control, and DBW to control torque. The TC uses that Torque Management function and uses IG/Boost first before applying a DBW reduction, but it can function without DBW.

ignition retard doesn't control torque very well on boosted cars, you can drop the timing way down and it will still make power. Retarding the timing will make for a nice glow in the dark header!

Retards and cuts are much faster and more effective in controlling a torque down for traction than throttle is. Throttle reduction only is slooooow to respond.

The G4X SW will use retard, cut, boost control, followed by finally a throttle reduction to control torque. The boost control helps to counteract the increase is exhaust energy from the retard

Thanks all for your inputs.
I have been looking again at the Link G4X Xtreme and how much it costs these days and it seems it can be sourced minus the two harnesses for about €1600, which is still a serious amount of money only to add traction control. Not sure which extra functions I could put into use to justify spending that much. DBW for instance will never be part of my mechanical religion.

Looks like I've got some more reading to do! I'm very much hoping the Torque management features are going to give me some longevity out of the S2 transaxle, just need to decide if I'm going with an OS Giken or Wavetrac LSD.

Strong vote for OS here! Only used in FWD applications personally, but the tunability is unmatched. Overall a high quality product for sure.

What is everyone with KW V3 shocks using for rebound and bump settings?
I am finding difficult to find a decent compromise for road use. The performance requires "hard" settings but the roads and my back dictate softer settings...

I used the recommended initial settings in the instructions, and never felt the need to change it. If I were to change anything, I'd probably soften it a few clicks. It's slightly stiffer than my 992, but not as stiff as the new RS cars...

Ultimately, softer springs.
