Gauge panel bezel rings....?

I've been designing and printing clip on bezels for the 992 and started wondering if painted bezels might look good in the 944. I have chrome rings I got from eBay many years ago, and they look great, but you need to super glue them on etc. I'm thinking maybe simple bezels the clip into the opening of the 944 gauges.... I'm thinking they would be much thinner and less pronounced than the 992 version pictured below, but similar concept. Anyone interested?

Considering the gauges sit flush against the back of the trim, how could they be designed to clip on?

Red rings in my Guards Red 944s might look pretty cool.

I'm fairly sure I could make them that clip in like internal snap rings, I've just haven't had the time lately to experiment. It's on my list though (as are 944 license plate mounts, now that I realize my plate was re-located to accommodate the aftermarket center reflector thingie).
