Hey all... I heard Porsche no longer provides owner manual cases, so I am going to make my own stitched leather one while I wait...

Can someone kindly tell me the dimensions of the manual?

If no one gets them to you, I can do it Monday or Tuesday when the GT4 is back home. (They're probably the same as other current Porsche model manuals. I'll measure the 992.)

My '21 992 Manual is 218mm x 156mm x 16mm.

The dimensions of the 992 manual and the associated other sub-manuals are 8-5/16" x 6-3/16" (dimensions of the books themselves).

Thickness of the manual plus all the booklets is a bit over 1". (The pic is somewhat misleading in that the wider angle lens distorts the view.)

The material between the cover's sides is slightly elastic to allow for a snug fit.

The 718 owner’s manual is the same size as the 992 one. Until several years ago the manual came with a nice leather / magnetic cover. I was able to buy one on eBay for around $35.00.

Larry, $35 is a steal! I have been looking for one on Ebay, and the cheapest one I seen like yours is around $100 - Which is why I thought to make one for half the price ha. Maybe I will keep looking on Ebay

That's the cover that came with my GT4. Why would Porsche get rid of something that basic? It's a simple touch and an inexpensive and easy "thank you" for happy purchasers.

There are times when I'd really like to get my hands around the necks of certain boneheaded decision makers.

Can I use this?

I hear you. Maybe it's so they can sell their $900 Carbon Fiber owners manual case lol.

I was a BMW owner from 1977-2009. The early cars came with a complete tool kit attached to the underside of the trunk lid. Over the years, BMW started eliminating some of the tools but the tool holder still had places for them. They started selling the missing screwdrivers, etc for around $10.00 each. Eventually the kit disappeared.
