Blower Fan resistor

My fan has been stuck on speed 4 on my 89 944 turbo and have intermittently working on the other fan speed. After doing some reading on various forums, I decided to soak the resistor in vinegar for an hour or so to remove the corrosion build up on the contacts. It worked and fixed my problem. It's a good thing I couldn't find a new one as they are NLA. Otherwise I would've just replaced it with a new one. For those with the same problem, give it a try.
