Hey all,

My CGTS is supposed to be delivered around the end of the month. I’ve read reports from several folks that occasionally cars are being delivered without ordered features (eg power steering wheel adjustment is manual due to shortage of chips). Idk if this will happen to me or not, and I suppose I’d likely take delivery if I were confident that the correction would happen at the soonest possible opportunity, *and* if I didn’t think the missing feature was a big deal.

I’ve never been in a potential situation like this, and if this were to occur, what is process to help ensure you’ll eventually get the missing feature(s) added? Do you get a document of some kind promising to correct? If you don’t get a document, is Porsche’s reputation such that you don’t worry about it? Or, do I need to firmly ask for a written promise to correct?

I picked up my CGTS 4.0 a couple months ago.
The only issue was a manual steering column adjustment that should have been automatic. In theory, Porsche will notify owners (based on VIN) when the parts are available to retrofit.
It also won't display the speed limit in the multi-function display. Not sure if a camera is missing or what. No one seems to know.

I'm not really worried. It's such a fantastic car as is.
If or when the parts come in, I'll have to think hard if I want them mucking around and possibly making something worse. I guess I will see. Until then, I will enjoy the car and not even think about it.

Note - if it's the TPMS shortage, they won't sell the car until it's repaired anyway. The steering column and missing key cars will be sold and delivered. And hopefully fixed later.

My only concern about retro-fitting interior parts is the possibility of adding rattles and creaks. My 991TTS was full of them as a result of the post-assembly-line CXX parts. (So much so that I ordered my 992 without a single Cxx option.) If you let the dealer swap out interior parts, it's worth mentioning if you are sensitive to rattles/vibrations, etc. They can use Krytox to significantly reduce the chance of issues.

Curious -- when they deliver cars with missing keys/options like that, do they still charge you as if the car came complete? If you don't let them retrofit -- or if they just don't -- do you get a refund?

I know I paid the agreed-upon price for mine.
No idea if they would refund option prices or not.
