Following TYD ( Track Your Dream ) was fun but I would caution folks not to get too shook with dates being very exact , because I was still getting notes that my Cayman GTS was on it's way to my Dealer almost 3 days after I picked it up. I did get a note today from Porsche thanking me for getting my Porsche so the Company does stay more up to date and is good about letting its customers feel wanted. I am listing a few pictures and one shows my son installing my clear lenses before I even drove off the lot. It was his gift to Dad, though his other gift to me was somehow delayed ( 6 pt. harness ). It does help for one to have their son work at a Porsche Dealership , but since Ryan and I have been racing since he was 15 his idea of a present for ole Dad is likely different than others. I never told him about the clear lenses, but he bought them and before installing them he asked me, " Do you like the clear lenses ?" I, of course , told him I was going to buy them but hadn't and he said he was happy because he felt the orange ones were hideous. He had them both switched out in less than 5 minutes and they look right on a chalk colored car. I did add a few pictures during the Sunset and some typical Nebraska scenes along with a few of the Delivery Pictures at Porsche of Omaha. I will be one of their last customers at their original store as they will be moving to a brand new building ( with underground parking so the Porsches are in hermetically sealed protection day and night , ha ) the third week of this month. Having tracked everything from Vipers, Spec Miatas, Formula cars, and Mustangs, I can already tell the Cayman is going to be a riot - but as a PCA DE Instructor I knew that from driving students Boxsters and Caymans. Three days in my possession , I only put on 410 miles , ha,ha!

Fantastic! You take great pics too - I told you it would be easy to post pics on the 'Pokes! (I like that - Pics on the Pokes. Jeremy, I have stolen part of your "coined" 'Pokes name. )

And yes Bill, tell your son that I concur fully with his description of the orange side marker lenses. (Another "gift" from NHSTA.)

Great looking GTS. You're gonna have a good time with her!

Awesome car. Congrats! A GTS 4.0 with 5-spoke wheels and buckets is cool too! Great spec.

I think I'm the only guy left who doesn't mind the amber lenses. I used to drool over the Ferrari Daytona and 512bb as a kid, both of which had big amber lenses in front, so I think that got burned into my mind as euro-cool...

I lived in Europe in the 60s so all those Fiats, Peugeot's and Citroen's gave me a slightly different view of those big ole amber lenses, ha! Of course the best thing was my son wanted to do it for his ole Dad because he thinks clear is cool, and that made it even better for me! Thanks, the full buckets were a must for me and I was glad they came back on line right before my order as they had been unobtanium for awhile in the GTS.

Well, if Tom likes amber then I'll retract my amber criticism. A little bit. Maybe. For Tom anyway. :P

I had forgotten about the hold on the LWB seats. They're outstanding seats - glad you were able to get them.

Congrats on the new arrival.
I have no strong feelings on the side marker issue.
Mine remain factory 😎

Wonderful because it is quite obvious you are a superlative human being with superb taste in cars and my change from Amber to clear was simply a generous gift from my son. Have a great Labor Day Weekend and I will Chalk up our one extremely minor difference of opinion to the high degree of corn sweat in the air of Nebraska this Summer.

PS - keep this between us but I do have the stock amber side markers in a box in a secure place in my basement.
