Starting issues
this may be a long shot. if it's like the 997, there is a connection on the passenger side. a wire from the battery goes to it. it gets corroded. if I recall correctly, you get to it under or behind the glove box.

I read this:
I have determined that the problem is at battery to power distributor. When I shake the + cable near this connection the car starts right up. I want to disconnect the battery + cable from the power distributor bolt and remove and oxidation. Hoping this would be enough to fix the issue. I am not technically gifted so to remove the bolt and install a new one would mean a trip to my Indy

I believe we installed an updated connector that solved the problem. I also replaced the ignition switch and by-passed the cut off switch at the clutch.
