I saw this ad in the Hagerty News email. Hmmm, looks like our fearless leader's garage :D

Thanks for posting that. That was a hectic day -- they took those pictures the day my dad was in the hospital, so I wasn't even there most of the time. They had another good one with the 944 up high on the lift behind the 992, but all of their shots at this point mostly just remind me I need to go clean the garage. :)

Quick word about Baldhead -- you may have noticed their banner ad here on Carpokes. I invited them to do that (free) because I think so highly of their cabinets and their service level. When we remodeled the whole house to include this garage, we had a general contractor and a couple dozen subcontractors at least. The subs ranged from great to terrible, but Baldhead Cabinets stood tall above the rest. They let me tour their facility in Bend, OR, then gave me a rendering, cost quote, completion date, and installation turn-around time. Of all the subs working on the house, Baldhead was the only one that did everything exactly as and when promised. If anyone is in the market for built-in metal cabinets, I can recommend them with enthusiasm. :)

Looks great!

Hopefully this time next month our garage will have transitioned..... Most of the stuff is queued up awaiting the pod. Other old stuff has departed. News at 11.

We happen to live literally ten minutes away from the Baldhead facility. It was a no-brainer having them fit cabinets in my new workbay. I looked hard at some of the other options. Baldhead made some design adjustments for my upper cabinets to support the storage-bins system I have been using, for instance. They did everything exactly as we had agreed from spec to installation. In the "great minds think alike" spirit, my cabinet color choices are exactly the same as Tom's. I also put in porcelain tile floors (highly recommended!) as he did, but different colors. Mine is a "working" workbay so not nearly as photogenic as his, nor as spacious.

Our HOA architectural rep lived next door as we did the construction prior to moving in, and she blessed everything based on our drawing submittals. When all was done she told us she "had no idea everything would be so big". We'd submitted plan and elevation views to them and the city for permitting, and not shared any of the city planning negotiation details with the HOA. Nor any of the 3D's I'd built to allow virtual walkthroughs with furniture and fixtures. Still the workbay shrank a lot with cabinets and benches in place. I'm overdue for another purge cycle in there.

Thinking of garage cabinets? Baldhead is highly recommended.

Baldhead is my dream garage cabinet set, but it will most likely remain just that, a dream. Now were I a bit younger and a bit richer....Oh well.
