Anyone here going to Luftgekuhlt today? I'll be there and will try to get some good pictures.

I have to say I was overwhelmed by the size of Luftgekuhlt yesterday. Huge -- bigger than Werks for sure, and by far the largest collection of air-cooled Porsches I've even seen in one place. Difficult to capture the scale of it walking around with my phone, but here are some pictures of things that caught my eye....


These last two were lowered for a very cool stance.

So I am in line at Luft 9 for what I am thinking is general parking.I had followed Crazy Eddie to Mare Island , him in his 951 Turbo S and me in my GT-4.I got a guy behind me in a Gt-3 and a guy in front of me in a GT-3 and the front guy in a 992 Turbo S.Next thing you knowI got a flagman in a red vest pointing at us and waving us through in my mind I am thinking "this is great preferred parking"because I did not register for the show like Cray Eddie did.Next thing you know we are rolling down the dock to the last warehouse building and being directed to park by Jeff Zwart.I thought to myself, crap I guess I am in the show!The other cars I was with weren't registered either!It really was great parking to be inside not having seagulls crap on my car!

How cool is that. Your car looks spectacular in red.

The red comment is kind of a running joke. Stigs and I love the red, Ed not so much. But honestly, how can you not admire that car, in that color, in that setting.

I missed the wink smiley on the first read. (However, I wouldn't have understood even if I had caught it. )

Yes,the running joke about how it seemed every Porsche in the 80's was guards red.After owning an s2 that was GR for 30 years I end up with a gt4 in GR.So in my defense Ed has a white gt4 that i refer as "rental car white" or "Maytag white",you know like an appliance, lol
I was very caught off guard to be in show.It was a fantastic 2 days to see and meet people and have an amazing collection of rare Porsche's in one place.
