A friend is working on his dad’s Boxster and the sunroof motor on one side took a dump. When he disassemble the motor, this is what he found

Seems like all that is needed is a new 3D printed gear. Has anyone created a file or started making/selling the gear? He told me a new motor is $700.

I told him he should join carpokes, but not sure if he has.

Thanks

Tell him to join and participate here, and I'll do my best to model and print one. He should hold on to the broken pieces -- I'd need those to replicate it.... What year is the car? Seems weird for it to break. Wonder if it's under a lot of pressure. Might be best to do it in a carbon-fiber plastic...
