...I restore cars. Sometimes Porsches, but often other things. Sometimes rather far removed from Porsches.

Here's a review of my current project - 1964 Chevrolet C10, a mild resto-mod. Bought it as an interrupted project last fall.

As purchased:

The Force is Strong with this one...

Looks really nice!! I've always mulled restoring an older American car (or a Pantera), and this is good motivation. On the other hand, I changed the oil in my truck today and had to rest for an hour afterwards... :shifty:

Just finished the brake upgrade. It was already converted to 5-lug and front disc when I got it, but no power assist. Took a lot of leg to stop it from speed. So a vacuum booster and matching master cylinder has been added this past week.

Getting close to finished now. Just a couple of larger items left.

Applying finish to the new bed wood today and tomorrow. Should have the bed installation wrapped up by Monday or so. The pic here was during the mockup stage.

The bed wood is installed. I replaced the front springs to bring the front ride height up an inch. The springs the PO installed were too short, gave too much rake, and only had ¾" travel before hitting the bump stops. Much better now.

Also installed a rather basic radio/media player and speakers. Not because I have any reason to expect people to want a radio, but since the truck has an antenna and a big, DIN-size hole hacked in the dash, a DIN radio was the easiest way to fill the hole.

Looks super good!

Just me or is that dash is begging for iPhone holders on both sides of the radio. Maybe MagSafe chargers. :)
