Our garage started life as a two 2-car garages. It had a sheetrock wall down the middle and was very shallow to make room for water heaters and furnaces etc. at the back.

First order of business was to yank out the concrete slabs and rear wall.

Then rough out the new back wall, borrowing a little space from the house behind it.

Then new slab to get ready for the porcelain flooring.

Then porcelain flooring and Baldhead cabinets. The Baldhead people were great to work with and their cabinets transform a garage!

Basic construction done... "Ghostwood" siding and corrugated metal wainscotting on the walls were inspired by a Mexican restaurant near my house, and a little by Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Maui...

Swing-out carriage doors were a total pain, but saved head room for the lift and gave it a cool vibe.

Porsche letters were a Christmas present from my wife, years before I had any place to put them.

Tom, in these days and age it makes me so sad to see a fellow enthusiast forced to wrench in such derelict conditions. I think the board should crowdfund you a wrenchplace a little closer to human decency.
Ps... wmv (windows movie) is pretty old tech; I had to copy the link into another tab.
How many people can say they've hand-fed a wild humming bird like that! Very cool!

And if we're talking garage 'projects' here is my best attempt to make a 'feature' out of the ugly circuit breaker panel in my garage. Side note, everything other than the electronics inside the box is 3D printed -- spark plug wires, glass tubes, all of it!

I feel pathetic posting this, but at least I own this place and don’t rent!

Before remodeling the new garage/house, my garage for the last 15+ years was a similar, traditional 2-car garage like that. Single best thing I did was add Racedeck flooring. It transformed the space into a place I wanted to hang out... Best part is you can install it in one afternoon (after you clear out the garage floor of course) for about $1,000 for a typical 2 car garage...

I’m pretty sure I remember when you did that! We only have this house while I’m in school (getting my A&P certs) and my projected grad date is Aug 2022. Next place I’m hoping will have a better garage and I’ll put some money into it (mostly flooring and lighting!)
