I get what Tom is saying. It's a gentleman forum for Porsche guys: It can be new possible new owners or old dudes like me.

It's a great time for everyone to join this special forum.

Thank you Sir. I'm hoping to get some folks from Amelia Island next week too. I know Carpokes nation will be out in force at the show. Should be a banner day! :)

Tom,
Have you considered a vendor area? Werks Monterey is in August.
Werks Reunion Monterey 2023. Friday August 18, 2023 to Friday August 18, 2023 | Event Type: Social. 7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. (PST) Save the date for Werks Reunion Monterey 2023! Porsche Club of America (PCA) welcomes all Porsche clubs,
There is no better time for the founder and some volunteers to set up a small vendor tent at the Monterey event. The ads are all good but face-to-face is better. I say shake some hands and bring some good stuff (it should be some Monterey souvenirs).

JMHO as you know. CA is important to making a mark.

Yes, I'm going to try for that! Between starting late, my knee going out, and everything else, my plans for Amelia ended up in a holding pattern, but hopefully I can get a booth and have boots on the ground in Monterey. :)

Are there high priced auctions of rare cars at Amelia? Some of the prices on BAT over the last few years have been sky high!

We are getting a lot of new Carpokes members lately but hoping Amelia will cause Carpokes to really take off.

I agree.

I talked with plenty of guys at Amelia that just discovered this site. I say it is for "water cooled" cars. I have owned four early air-cooled cars before, and since then four water cars.

I'd love for Carpokes to be for all Porsche owners. I saw a beautiful orange 914-6 driving down my street today -- no idea who it was -- but the car showed a ton of owner care and appreciation. Almost wanted to stop him in the middle of the street and ask him to join up. :)

Carpokes is for all Porsche owners, water and air-cooled. We also welcome Porsche fans who don’t currently own a Porsche. @911R were you able to get a bunch of attendees to sign up?
Thanks,
Larry
