Anyone in this group familiar with removing CDR30 radio? This is on a 2012 MY. I have the side panels off and have turned locking hex key bolts ¼ turn. Three turned the normal 90 degrees and one was broken. The pieces of the broken one came out and I can push the spring inward but the radio still only moves outward about ¼ inch. Some of the online videos talk about a mystery 7mm retaining bolt that needs to be removed but mine doesn't appear to have one, at least, not in the same position as the videos show it to be

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

I sure miss the days of inserting two U-shaped keys in the front and pulling. C'est la vie.

I never removed the radio on my 997. Looking at this video, he shows the clips on the radio. I wonder if you could take a screw driver or dental tool and use it to press down the one clip as you pull the radio out.

Thank you. I had actually watched this same video before I started this project. It turns out that sometimes after turning the 5mm spring tension release tabs they don't allow the spring to fully retract. I was able to push each one individually and move the radio outward to hold that spring. After doing that with all four, the radio slid out without further resistance. The CDR30 is now sitting on my desk.
