Porsche gets more BOP, do you need more!

IMSA has given Porsche an adjustment to their BOP, Balance of Performance of 1mm more air intake.
BOP is the way IMSA adjust the cars aerodynamics, horse power, weight to Balance out the field for better competition among the teams.
I am sure Porsche will make adjustments to the 963 as it is an ongoing test of the car every time it goes out.
I am sure we will see better result to all Porsches at Sebring.
If you are going, please let me know and would be glad to meet with you.

I think the BOP is what it is.

I certainly think the Porsche race cars have raced for years (decades) with a negative BOP. The car can still do well after the green flag. Porsche keeps raising their technology to compete well against the beauratic rule makers.

Any basic test will show the Porsche car to be the best car on the racetrack when racing to the front.

Yes, your correct!
You have to remember that a Porsche win at race is not only a good race car, but a good race team, drivers, engineers that put together along with many hours of race strategy, practice, training behind the scenes you don't see.
What would you like to read about, Porsche motorsports in General or just the GT 911's.

I'd say both. The IMSA racing Cayman cars are just as important as the more expensive GT3R cars.

As a former amateur racer, I'd say one thing is really important:

"If you want to make a small fortune in racing, you need to start with a large fortune.".

THANKS for the reply!
Yes,definitely a small fortune!
About 5-6 years ago, I had a conversation with a prominent Protype race team owner and due to a rule change, it was costing him a lot to make this change. Then he came said that it was costing between 8-9 million to race 10 races that year.
