A GTS Chronicles RETROSPECTIVE: Meh meh meh

Continuing my retrospective look into my journey towards Porsche ownership:

Confusion and clarity (October 28, 2021 - 15 months ago)

"This car is. Just. So. Good."

No news on allocations. Ugh. Bummer going into the winter as we were hoping for a little movement at least. Talk about an exercise in keeping excitement and anticipation tamped down.

Thank goodness there's tons of content online to pore over. I reckon by the end of this adventure, we will have watched every possible video and read every single article online about these cars.

The more I watch and read, the more special these cars are feeling to me. Perhaps it's a self-fulfilling prophecy - or me justifying my purchase, but I don't think so. Multiple sources, multiple viewpoints, pretty much 99% in complete agreement that this iteration of the Boxster is an extremely special car.

But ugh. The waiting. The lack of new news from The Salesperson.

This is not like any car purchase experience I have ever had before, and I'm not sure just how much of it is down to COVID, and how much is just the Porsche/Dealership arrangements and processes.

Waiting, waiting...

This resonated with me @lukesward, I am grateful to be confirmed to get one of these special cars this year. My build locks in a week 😎

Sweet. You and @alavigne are on a similar factory trajectory. His locks at the end of the month. Mine is not for a while yet, but I've nailed it down just in case somehow it "locks" without me or my SA knowing - as we've heard happens occasionally!

2023 is the year of our Porsches! Woot woot!
