2023 Porsche 911 Turbo (first ~5500 rpm test)

It's been a great day. Several different Porsche cars started on the grid of the latest 24 Hours of Daytona.

I personally just washed my car and got to take it out for it's first post-breakin 5500 Rpm 'test' run. It adds high power gradually and suddenly so no early 1978 Turbo 930 burst.

I am more than happy with the car.

The VTG turbo's really smooth out the power delivery.

Nice looking car!!!

You gotta try Launch Control. It's awesome and the initial launch is brain scrambling -- not remotely gradual. :)

Tom,
I'll get it done in the next month or so. The factory manual says 1250 miles before Launch.

The weather here has been cool with wet conditions. The engine likes cool temps, but the tires have a lack of grip (even in 4-wheel drive).

My only real goal is to get to the Amelia Werks Reunion on 3-3-2023. I am already registered at $75. I have some carpokes swag. FL shut down the Ferry from the Jacksonville beaches up to Amelia Island for maintenance. People get confused as Fernandina Beach is a town on the Amelia Island.

One of the auctions has a bunch of Porsche cars including some from the jerry Seinfeld Collection. Jerry has made a lot of money from buying early into some really important Porsche cars.

It will sure be a fun event. I'll post pictures.
