This one looks interesting if you are after having the phone visible ie when stopping on a red light.

This does look like a decent alternate option to pro clip. I keep my phone on the cup holder or in the storage space behind the center screen. Agree there is no good space to put the phone.

I’ve been debating what to do for a long time, but this appears to be the closest alternative to the wireless charger inside the armrest:

For my part, I am looking for something where the screen is visible to do small things i.e. while standing still, i.e. Order coffee to pick up or other things not CarPlay available.

I use the ProClip solution. Some people think it looks ugly but it does a great job holding the phone tight and keeps it in a good position to see if you need to use Waze or some other app while using the native porsche Navi to find chargers and get the battery preconditioned.

I find all of these having the phone way too low (time from screen to road is too far).
Best place I have found so far is on the left side but needs suction cup on window to mount there
Hope renn or someone will come up with something that takes advantage of the components already in the car

Maybe a RAM Mount product would work for you. It should be out of the way of your HUD and would certainly put your cell at eye level on the left side.
Pair RAM's excellent suction with one of their X-Grip brackets. (I have an AiM bracket on the suction as pictured, but you can interchange mounts and brackets as needed.) RAM products are top notch based on my experience. The suction won't let go.
By the way, I know your post indicated you don't want to use a suction mount. However, they are easily moved from vehicle to vehicle, are relatively unobtrusive, they hold very well on the glass (quality ones anyway, such as RAM), and there are no issues with damaging interior trim that you would otherwise have to attach to if not using suction mounts.
