912 Running somewhat rough to barely running

My 912 was running rough today, missing and down on power. When I came to a stop and took back off, the engine died. Now the car will barely run.
The ignition points, rotor, & spark plugs are new.
Earlier this season, the carbs were cleaned and adjusted b/c the driver carb sounded weezy and lean. I raised the float and it quietened. Although today, the passenger side car sounded very lean. Float or idle adjustments would do very little, but car was mostly running, until the restart, after which it is now barely running.

I say start all over again. You need to mark TDC on the crank.

What carbs do you have? Is it a machinal rotation

What is the cylinder timing.? Your issues seem to be related here. Is #1 firing on target?
