The Porsche 992 (the best water cooled ever)?

I have been thinking about this for a few weeks. I even went back to Excellence Magazine for their published articles in April, 2019 (First Look) and May, 2019 (First Drive).

I ordered my current car later in 2019 while being very satisfied with my 2014 Porsche 991.1. It was on a hope and a prayer.

My 2020 Porsche 992 was on the second boat to arrive in Jacksonville, FL. I picked it up on 2-1-20 which was one month before the covid hit. The market for all Porsche inventory was average. I drove it to the 2020 Amelia Island Werks event the first weekend in March (it did two more events).

I have no choice but to name the Porsche 992 as the best sports car.

I absolutely love the 992.

I did not grow up loving or knowing much about Porsche. It just so happened that the first car I ever drove in my adult life is a Porsche Macan (my parents only had Hondas). I fell in love.

From there I moved to the 992 and I am now expanding my love of the 911.

I since drove other brands - lambo, ferrari, aston martin, etc. None come close.

Thanks and enjoy your 992.

In the April, 2019 issue, Excellence drove the 992 S at Hockenheim with Dan Lesschi (Head of Driving Dynamics for Porsche). The car had the PCCB brakes (mine doesn't).

Dan explained that Porsche (the Factory drivers, of course) drove Nurburgring at 7 minutes and 25 seconds. That was 5 seconds faster than the 991 S. That was also 7 seconds quicker than the ($800K+) 2004-2005 Carrera GT.

I'll try to scan and post the entire article. I just got a new copier/scanner and haven't tried the scan yet. It bluetooth prints well (a HP unit).
