Stunning in red leather, and it's a manual!

That interior is pretty sought after in 944s, as well, from what I've read. I was glad to see it on a 928; still good.

I think that - were this the interior of any P car I owned - I would have an overwhelming desire to head to Paris and the Moulon Rouge.

Here is mine....not Can Can Red. I don’t think I could pull it off. Gorgeous to look at, but too much for me.

My take would be that yours would be easier on the psyche of one who drives the car often. However, the red would hide ketchup spilled from the french fry cup...

'Can Can Red'! Good name!

Mine is the same color combo as yours. Minus the sport seats, manual gear selector, or the wheel. I will confess that when the car landed on me, I was ready to swap out the tan for gray. It grew on me over time though, and its still in there.

For those playing along at home, the sport seats have the extended wing bolsters and slightly firmer foam in the pillows. Mine is the draped or "raff" leather, a little softer both in the leather and the pillows. Interestingly, the bolsters get the same density foam.

As far as the can-can red... Odd and distinctive colors have always emerged as "desirable" over time, and that includes interior shades too. I confess that I bought mine sight-unseen way back when, and as a pretty die-hard back-motor enthusiast I planned on a project-restore-then-resell for the one I have. The first drive from purchase in Denver home to the L.A. area quickly changed that thinking. It's just so much more civilized for extended high-speed touring than my last 911. Effortless really.

Even with black and tan, it's a suitably subtle look. I'd had another car with black and a burnt red interior and it was great, but just a little too much as my tastes matured. Twenty-five-plus years now and I still take a moment to admire it whenever I enter the garage. Even with the cover on it and sitting up on tall winter storage stands.
